About MrShambles – The Man Behind the Hoard
Gaming has been in my blood since I was a kid in Orlando, FL, screaming at that damn dog in Duck Hunt on the Nintendo and grinding levels on Sonic the Hedgehog with my Sega Genesis. Video games were my escape, my challenge, and my constant.
In June 2013, I took a bigger adventure and joined the U.S. Navy. I spent four years stationed in Japan working on F/A-18 Super Hornets — hands dirty, adrenaline high, and honestly having an absolute blast. Got out in 2017 and jumped straight into DoD contracting, modifying and wrenching on aircraft all over the world and across the States. I’ve lived in more places than I can count, met incredible people, and collected stories instead of frequent flyer miles.
Through it all, gaming never left me. I started streaming back in 2019 on Facebook as Child_0f_Odin, then made the jump to Twitch and never looked back. A few years later I rebranded to MrShambles and just kept pushing — building a chill community around the games I love.
The Hoard side of things? That’s the newest obsession.
Earlier this year (2025), my amazing girlfriend introduced me to Magic: The Gathering. One game turned into “just one more pack,” and suddenly I was hooked — blown away by the depth, the art, the strategy, and the sheer detail on every card. I started collecting fast while I was still learning the rules, and before I knew it, the apartment was overflowing with binders, boxes, and stacks of cardboard.
MrShambles Hoard was born out of that beautiful chaos. The merch you see here lets you rep the vibe, but the real heart is over in the Discord — that’s where I share my growing knowledge, post pulls, brew decks, help new players, and occasionally sell cards from the ever-expanding collection. I’m not here to get rich; I’m here to build a community of new and veteran TCG players who lift each other up, swap tips, and enjoy some friendly (or ruthless) competition.
Right now it’s all Magic: The Gathering, but I’m already eyeing Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and whatever else catches my eye next. The Hoard keeps growing, and so will we.
Thanks for stopping by, thanks for reading, and here’s to gaming — whether it’s tabletop battles or virtual worlds.
Let’s unearth some chaos together.
